Sweet Samba Salmon Recipe by Yanikie Turner

Try this delicious salmon recipe using our customer favorite, Sweet Samba Pepper Sauce, by celebrity chef, Yanikie Turner of @jamdownfoodie!  Our Sweet Samba sauce is sweet and not too spicy. Tropical flavors such as pineapple and mango are the star ingredients in this sauce. Then we added peppers along with a few spices to make it even more savory!

Sweet Samba Salmon

  • 1 pound salmon
  • 1 tablespoon dry jerk seasoning

  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 5 sprigs fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon soy sauce

  1. Liberally season salmon on both sides and set aside for about 30 minutes.
  2. Line a baking tray with foil or parchment paper.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  4. In a bowl, combine all of the sauce ingredients and whisk together.
  5. Gently brush salmon with about half the sauce.
  6. Bake salmon for 5 minutes.
  7. Remove the salmon from the oven and brush with the other half of the sauce.
  8. Place the oven on Broil on the low setting.
  9. Boil salmon for 3-5 more minutes until the sauce begins to caramelize. (Watch closely as anything under the broiler will easily burn)
