Try this delicious salmon recipe using our customer favorite, Sweet Samba Pepper Sauce, by celebrity chef, Yanikie Turner of @jamdownfoodie! Our Sweet Samba sauce is sweet and not too spicy. Tropical flavors such as pineapple and mango are the star ingredients in this sauce. Then we added peppers along with a few spices to make it even more savory!
Sweet Samba Salmon
Ingredients:
- 1 pound salmon
- 1 tablespoon dry jerk seasoning
Sauce:
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 5 sprigs fresh thyme leaves
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon soy sauce
- ¼ cup Smilin Island Sweet Samba Sauce
Steps
- Liberally season salmon on both sides and set aside for about 30 minutes.
- Line a baking tray with foil or parchment paper.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- In a bowl, combine all of the sauce ingredients and whisk together.
- Gently brush salmon with about half the sauce.
- Bake salmon for 5 minutes.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and brush with the other half of the sauce.
- Place the oven on Broil on the low setting.
- Boil salmon for 3-5 more minutes until the sauce begins to caramelize. (Watch closely as anything under the broiler will easily burn)
- Serve hot with your favorite sides.
