Ingredients (for 3-4 servings):
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 1 clove of garlic, diced
- 1 small head of red onion, chopped
- 1 medium carrot, peeled and chopped
- 1 lb. of ground turkey
- 10 oz of chopped tomatoes, from a can
- 1 tbsp of tomato puree
- 1 tsp of honey
- 1 tbsp of Mama’s Own Extra Hot Pepper Sauce
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of dried oregano
- 1 tsp of ground black pepper
- 7 oz of vegetable broth
- 2 oz of cooked red kidney beans from a can
- 1 oz of sweetcorn, from a can
Instructions:
- In a soup pot set on high heat, add vegetable oil, and start by frying the onions, garlic and carrots
- Mix regularly and after 3 minutes add in the ground turkey
- Let that cook for 7-8 minutes, mixing regularly
- When the turkey has been cooked, add in the chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, vegetable stock, Mama’s Own Extra Hot Pepper Sauce and season with salt, oregano, honey and black pepper
- Lower the heat and let that simmer for about 30 minutes until it becomes a lot thicker
- Now add in the beans and corn - take it off the heat
- Let it sit for 10 minutes before eating - you want everything to settle in before you try it for best results
