Mama's Own Extra Hot Turkey Chilli

Ingredients (for 3-4 servings):

  • 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 clove of garlic, diced
  • 1 small head of red onion, chopped
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and chopped
  • 1 lb. of ground turkey
  • 10 oz of chopped tomatoes, from a can
  • 1 tbsp of tomato puree
  • 1 tsp of honey
  • 1 tbsp of Mama’s Own Extra Hot Pepper Sauce
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of dried oregano
  • 1 tsp of ground black pepper
  • 7 oz of vegetable broth
  • 2 oz of cooked red kidney beans from a can
  • 1 oz of sweetcorn, from a can 

Instructions:

  1. In a soup pot set on high heat, add vegetable oil, and start by frying the onions, garlic and carrots
  2. Mix regularly and after 3 minutes add in the ground turkey
  3. Let that cook for 7-8 minutes, mixing regularly
  4. When the turkey has been cooked, add in the chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, vegetable stock, Mama’s Own Extra Hot Pepper Sauce and season with salt, oregano, honey and black pepper
  5. Lower the heat and let that simmer for about 30 minutes until it becomes a lot thicker
  6. Now add in the beans and corn - take it off the heat
  7. Let it sit for 10 minutes before eating - you want everything to settle in before you try it for best results
